Doing the Lord's Will

Dear Mom,
That's great that you all are doing well, that makes me happy that, that picture was sent at the right time. I guess the Lord is watching over us after all ;) lol.
Its hard to believe that Patrick is already home, that went by soo fast. I really miss our ward, I love my ward and all, but I miss how close we all are. Because here, we had a meeting before church, and it was about home teaching and visiting teaching, and the numbers were just soo poor.. There were mostly 0%'s.. And it stunned me on how members here are. But I guess the Lord wanted them to be like this for a reason and we are waiting for that day for them to realize how important missionary work is, not just the missionaries work, but outside of the missionaries. But I am really enjoying my time. Its hard sometimes but my companion helps me a lot.
Our investigator is doing great, he is 15 years old, has a hard pass with his parents, and we taught him the first lesson, and after I was honored on asking him if he wants to get baptized and he said yes to this weekend. Of course I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I didn't really focus on getting him baptized and being very hopeful. I was still ecstatic about it all and stuff, but sometimes hope can ruin missionaries desires to work because they get turned down. ( I hope this makes sense, I'm not trying to complain, cuz I'm not.) But He said he would love to get baptized, and we set him up for this weekend. He said he had a scouting trip this weekend but we are praying something comes up that he will be able to move it so he is able to get baptized. So we are consistently following up on him. So we are really stoked about it all. But after the lesson and me inviting him to get baptized, I asked him if he wanted to receive a priesthood blessing, explained what it was, and we had given it to him. I didn't this time due to my lack of knowledge of doing it.. So I had Elder Clay do it. Next time though, but it was because his back was hurting so it had been slowing him down with work. So we gave him one. We will ask him next time we see him how his back is.
thank you again so much for doing that. I've had trouble sleeping, idk why cuz I go to bed tired, I'm exhausted. But I have been waking up 4-5 times a night.. So hopefully ill be able to sleep better. Thanks again. Oh and that bag that you guys sent me, its broken, I was treating it nice, wasn't being hard on it or anything, it just ripped, so the string thingy isn't connected so its just hanging on by one of them. Is it alright if you out 30 on my card and I'll get some new bag? If soo I'd really appreciate that. Its starting to become a hassle to carry everything around.
Tell Juan Hi and I hope the best for him. And that I love him.
Tell the bishop and his body guards that I miss them and love them dearly. And the ward. Miss them as well. Tell the family I said hi and I love them all.
  Love ya mom!

Love,
Elder Green. (the younger)

And growth continues

Dear mom,
That's great to hear that you all and Kaley went to the temple. Well besides Claire.. That would really stink.. But I am still ecstatic that you guys were able to do some missionary work and take Kaley there. I hope she liked it! But I hope you all liked it as well, there's an Elder here who lives in Clearfield and is leaving soon and already has tickets to go there, it kinda made me a little envious but its whatever!
Yeah I know I need to work on spending my money wisely. I promised myself that I would try harder to be more money smart and spend what I need and not on wants. So I am trying, Know that. I am also truly grateful that you did that for me and I thank you! But I didn't know that I could use it to swipe. I thought it was just an ATM card and I could only use it to get money out.. But again thank you!
I'm glad the kids and the ward is doing well. I miss the ward and especially the bishop and his councilors. The one here are good but I didn't realize how great our ward and bishopric is. I love the ward here. There are great members here. And I know I need to love everyone, that's probably why I haven't been sleeping well. ( While I still remember, Will you send me some fish oils and that sleepy medicine in a bottle, melatonin?) But I am starting to like them more, I try to see the good in people more then their cons. And cuz that we, Elder Clay and I have been blessed with missionary opportunities every day. We have a total of 8 investigators now and working on 2 more this week. SO we may get up to 10 this week maybe 11 if we are lucky. And in fact, we have an appointment tonight with investigator tonight and we are going to ask him to get baptized. Yesterday we got the opportunity to teach the older youth in class, and we talked about Gospel Principles. (Third lesson) And the investigator was there, it was his 5th time to church yesterday in a row. And once we talked about baptism, we mostly focused our questions to him but yet to the class. And after class we sat by him and talked and he said he needed to be baptized and he knows that he needs to be. He also really wants to, so I am gonna ask him to be baptized the 23rd of this month! How sweet is that? I'm soo stoked!
Well mom thanks for all you have done, tell dad to get better and that I love him and I love you all! thanks again! And I will write. Last week I couldn't cuz I didn't have enough time, I ran out of time. But I will!

Second week

I'm soooo stoked that Emma bore her testimony and got baptized! I am soo proud of that lil one!
The work here is going great! We already have a total of 6 investigators. We went on an exchange one day this week and and all together, we found 4 new investigators! So the work is great. It was hard at first, but I kept on praying for help and with that and your prayers, the days are starting to go by fast, a week already feel like days, and days feel like hours. Its going really well!!!
I'm in the Rinn Valley area and ward. The members are great! I love a total of 6ish families already. I'm living with members who have a guest house down the driveway from their home. Their names are the Roylance's. Great family! Pictures were going to come this week but I forgot the cord to plug into the computer. We go to the local library to do our emailing. So next week if I remember ;).
My companion and I are starting to work out, and eat healthy and smaller proportions if possible. He's stronger of course, but I'm in better shape than he is so I push him a little so its kinda fun working out cuz he's struggling and I'm over here laughing, I love my companion, he helped me when I racked my pinky toe, I know that doesn't sound major, but it was bad, my toenail came off, and was bleeding everywhere, I got light headed and almost past out. But obviously I am okay! :)
Well mom, I love you, tell them fam hi and that I love them as well and best of luck this upcoming school year. and an advice from me, Don't follow my example. ;) Talk to you next week! love ya! :)

P.S: I am so happy to hear that Kaley went to Emma's baptism and she is going to the temple open house with you guys! That makes me soo happy! :):) Tell her Hi for me! :)

Tell the bishop Hi back and thanks for being there for me and helping me with anything I had. And that I love the bald dude! ;)
You are in my prayers momma! :) I thank you for not giving up! and I too will not give up, Its very hard out here, but the Lord granted us with three new investigators, and it was said to me that, It has been over 6 months since missionaries had received or got investigators. So I know he will bless you cuz I know he blesses me every day.
Im so proud of Emma, Tell her and the kids I love them, and I will keep a good thought of her during that day.
